As a new school year is about to begin we would like to take this time to welcome each of you back to school. We have made some changes this coming school year and the biggest one is student drop-off and pick-up. This change is being made for both Rural Retreat Middle School and High Schools. The process will be as follows:
- Drop-off/Pick-up will be in the back of the campus at the cafeteria.
- Parents/Guardians will enter the campus from Greever Street to Evergreen Avenue. We will no longer be turning into the parking lot from Buck Ave. This is now an Exit Only.
- Turn right on Evergreen Avenue at the gym and go behind the school to the cafeteria area for drop-off and pickup.
- Once you have dropped off or picked up your child, you will exit through the parking lot by the tennis court and RRMS. The turn exiting onto Buck Avenue is a RIGHT-HAND turn only now.
- In the afternoon, RR students will be picked up at the cafeteria. Parents/guardians are to remain on the road and not to turn into the cafeteria parking area.
- We ask that all students be dropped off at the cafeteria. The gym doors will no longer be unlocked in the mornings for entry.
This change was due to the congestion in the student parking lot as well as other factors that made the process unsafe for all involved. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
