It is time for the 3rd Annual Paper Chain War
between the Rural Retreat Indians and the George Wythe Maroons. All donations will support Project ASK,
FBLA’s state service project. Project ASK stands for the Association for the
Support of Kids with Cancer.
ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization
which provides financial, spiritual, social, and emotional support directly to
over 1,000 children and their families annually. The winner will be announced at the Rural
Retreat vs. George Wythe football game on November 7th. Please see Ms. Smith to make a donation and
to help Rural Retreat win the paper chain war.
ASSIS Scholars, please check your RRHS email accounts. Your Radford mentors will be using them to contact you.
There will be no All-Around MACC or Social Studies MACC practice this week.
Math MACC will practice on Thursdays for the remainder of the season unless told otherwise.
Congratulations to the Rural Retreat Marching Band on their performance at the 36th Annual George Wythe Band Festival. The band placed 2nd in guard and drum major. The band also placed 3rd in percussion, marching, music, and general effect. They received an overall Excellent Rating! Great work and great run of the show!
Rural Retreat Indian t-shirts are now on sale for $20.00. The shirts are digital camo and RRHS students can get into varsity football home games for free if worn to the game. See Coach Hughes for more info.
RRHS Fan Club is selling Tomahawk Towels for $5.00. Please purchase one to wave at football games. They will be available for purchase before school or you may see Ms. Wohlford.
There will be a Financial Aid meeting on Monday, December 8th, in the RRHS Library at 7:00pm.
